Want to know the trick to getting the cleanest version of your house?! Invite someone in to shoot every corner and cupboard for national tv!🙈•We were so encouraged to get this place in tip top shape, we finished up painting the outside of the RV and I’m happy to say that it’s ALL on the blog! It finally feels equal to the inside. •Head to my blog to check out how we did it, what we used, and the before and afters!✨

9 months like this 👆🏻💜
Some of you are often curious about our bed location in the front of the trailer. After a few months of having it this way, here's what we think:
LIGHT // This is by far the sunniest area of the trailer. There are 9 windows around the bed. That's both good and bad. For the occasional lazy Sunday afternoon nap: good. For trying to block out all light to sleep at night because you're a vampire: bad. But our sleep cycles in here have become more of a go to sleep at dark and wake up with the sun. Which isn't a bad thing at all.
SIZE // All we could cram in here was a full sized bed. We have a 27' Overlander. Most people I've seen put a bed in the front have the longer 31' models that can accommodate a queen. It's not as cramped as we were worried it'd be when we were building it. But if we had to do it over again, we'd for sure build a queen sized bed in the rear of the trailer and position it longways for room to get in and out on the sides. Climbing over a body in the night to go to the restroom is a skill I really didn't want to master. 😂
STORAGE // We built the bed high enough to be able to make for a ton of storage room. We have chairs, tool boxes, a tent, hammocks, all kinds of stuff under the bed. Vintage Airstreams (and maybe new ones too?) are seriously lacking in the storage department so wherever you can build in storage is huge.
LOCATION // It's on top of the door which we have a love/hate with. If there were ever an emergency or a fire or anything of the sort, we could easily pop out the door. But on the other hand, it was a little hard to get used to the door being *right* there. Our first night I told Jason he's sleeping on the outside so he "gets murdered first." #truelove 😂
Ooh and that peek of purple light on the bottom left is our teeny weeny Christmas tree. Check our IG story to see it in action. 😍
It’s definitely time for big and cosy sweatshirts! Selli always ends up stealing mine as they almost work like a Napsack for her 😄.
Since I don’t think we have a single dang photo of the three of us, here we are. Just in time for the holidays. You’re welcome Mom and dad.
Enjoying a last lazy Sunday before Justin starts a busy rotation with 24hr shifts. It's crazy to think we've been living in the van for almost 6 months. Almost 6 months of showering at the gym and hospital, moving the van to a new location every day or two, doing laundry at a laundromat, cleaning dust off our solar panels (and more recently snow), picking up our mail at a UPS box, creative one pot meals and hanging out at libraries, coffee shops, and the hospital cafeteria when we're feeling cooped up. It hasn't all been fun and there have been many decidedly un-dreamy moments, but there have been just as many enlightening moments where we've been reminded that most of our possessions aren't terribly important and times where we've rejoiced at our progress towards getting our loans paid off. Can't wait to see what goals we've accomplished and what epiphanies we've had come one year in the van 😊
