Even if you go for it and it doesn’t work out, you still win. You still had the guts to head straight into something that frightened you.
That type of bravery will take you places. 💙💪🏽
So many times I’ve boxed myself in, and was scared to break out of the category I placed myself in.
Ask me a year ago if I would ever start an online business - I would say no, because I’m scared.
Ask me 5 months ago, if I would quit my full time job to pursue my online business - I would say no, I’m not good enough.
Ask me one week ago if I would ever have the opportunity to in some way represent team @bodybuildingcom - I would say no, I wish.
Moral of the story: STOP TRAPPING YOURSELF. It doesn’t matter where you are right now, what you’ve done, or what you haven’t done yet. No time is a better time to start than now.
Break out of the cage you’ve put yourself in and create your best self... That’s what I’ll be doing. 😎
Happy Monday friends!!
P.s. check out @bodybuildingcom ’s Snapchat for my full workout today! It was a goodie!!
P.p.s. I told y’all I look good in teal and black. 🤷🏽♀️

WANT TO KNOW HOW TO REMAIN CONSISTENT AND SUCCEED? Love what you do so much to a point that even if someone handed you your dream amount of $$$$, but told you to give up on your work, you wouldn't take it. Why? Because when you're living your dream, working your dream job, money becomes a simple digit that you happen to make because of the amount of value you're bringing to others and because having money is an essential in life. My pointy to this though, money shouldn't be your #1 drive to everything! #MkazMastery#60secmastery I post daily motivational videos and teach you the ways to develop a strong mind to live a strong life. Tag someone who needs to see this!! 💯🙏
It's starting to get hot here in Australia! What do you have planned for the summer? How do you keep cool and keep the kids entertained? Hit us up with your tips and tricks (P.s. We love these blue icy poles - how good do they look!!) #LDDreamBig
Things aren't always what they seem. You may look at the tan, peaked show day physique, sparkling bikini, smiles/words of affirmation, and polished nails and think wow - Elyse just has it alllll together. What a glamorous life!
What you don't see are weeks I didn't wash my hair or put on makeup because I was too tired to care (I know all female competitors know what I'm talking about). The hours I spent in the kitchen preparing my food and weighing it out. The occasions I sipped on coffee while everyone around me enjoyed hearty filling foods. The tears I cried alone in my room because I went through a period of extreme insecurity and self doubt.
I chose all of the perceived "inconveniences" related to competing and I'm not asking for sympathy. What I'm trying to emphasize is that really unspectacular preparation and sacrifice makes for a very spectacular joy-filled show day! And if being your best is your ultimate goal - it's more than worth it! It truly is such a celebratory day for me.
In correlation - periods of self doubt and dealing with our deepest insecurities yield confidence and growth. We have to go through the hard stuff in our minds and hearts to come out on the other side a better/more mature person... Just like we having to do what isn't always the easiest to become a better athlete and competitor. The link to my blog post "On Insecurity" is in my bio. Go read it. ❤❤❤
