"I love Rabun Gap because I can choose to do what I like and what I want. I can work on my artistic/musical skills, like sing, dance, and playing instruments, along with improving my athletic abilities at the same time." Cindy Shen '19. “Clare was last in line for the shoot out and she also missed that shot high. As the opposing team’s screams of elation filled the air, Clare put her hands on her knees and crumbled over in tears and as her teammates sprinted towards her and encompassed her in a huge circle of support, I was instantly reminded of what team athletics are truly about.” Mom blogger Anna Kae Norman is the parent of an athlete. Today on the blog, she shares her thoughts on winning, losing and being a supportive and encouraging parent no matter the outcome of the game. #wenmomblog#athletics#momofanathlete#schoolsports#parenting
Current situation despite having trained just once in the last 3 weeks. Have been working some crazy hours recently, and training just isn't an option currently
Physique is feeling about as solid as a soup sandwich, but I'm not too worried about this as I know it'll come back with a week or two of solid training. Weight is hovering at around the 101kg mark
Protein intake is much lower, around 100g per day, but as I'm not training, my general calorie intake is much lower, hence why I've not gained fat
Sometimes training takes the back seat, and that's OK. I know instagram is supposed to be full of #hustle and #grind, but that's also a load of #bullshit, life happens, and life gets in the way. Just don't use it as an excuse to eat 17 big macs and skip the gym forever

➡️“Hello @podleckianne, the answer to that question is multifactorial. As every patient we treat here at SOAR, we have to look at your unique situation. We need to look at wether this was based off of a major trauma, wether is a degenerative tear or wether is a complex tear. From that point we can decide based of your functional and pain level what the next step is in terms of treatment. Stem Cell Therapy aids in the healing of almost any structure as the stem cells can essentially be formed into either cartilage, bone or soft tissue depending on where it is injected. Along with the Stem Cell Therapy comes Physical Therapy, and that is to create a base for the person with a torn meniscus to work from. The entire process of this occurring depends on what you have when you come into the office: is there already an MRI, have you already completed Physical Therapy with proper assessment, are there X Rays that we have that we can access this things? So it can be anywhere from one week to three or four weeks depending on what needs to be done in order to figure our what is going on, what are the answers to what type of tear you may have and how it came about. And to me that is the number one thing we’re looking at since every patient has their own unique situation. As the recovery process we’re looking approximately at four to six weeks depending on how the patient does with Therapy. The Stem Cells themselves are taken from the bone marrow, processed and then placed back in the knee utilizing fluoroscope and musculoskeletal ultrasound to pinpoint the exact location so we know exactly where the patient is being treated. If you want to lear more about how SOAR has a complete facility to get you back in the game, contact us today!"
