Happy Saturday! Thought I'd begin with this #pugsmile
to start my weekend ♡♡♡
85mm • f/2.5 • 1/1000s • ISO 100
《For Beginning Photographers》
As you may have noticed, I use my 85mm for almost everything. The depth of field, bokah, and beauty you can get from a prime (non-zoom) lens is incomparable to a zoom lens.
So I use my 85mm for almost everything except newborns (50mm) and indoor shots (35mm) or when I want to get a more photojournalist image (35mm). Those three lenses are literally all I neeed. xo stacey
ps. Don't forget, if you don't have a full frame camera, an 85mm will act like a 130mm, so you'll get the same beauty, you just have to stand *really* far away.
If you're curious, almost all of my portfolio pics were shot on a cropped camera. I only got my first full frame a year ago, but have been a successful high end photographer for years.
So it's really not about the camera, but more about the lens and the photographer:) So go out and be a photographer with whatever you have! xo
