This year and a half old white hairy dog won my heart. When commissioned, his age was mentioned so I just imagined a poodle puppy awaiting me, and instead was treated to a full size dog with a look in his eyes that seduced me, his hair made up of painted brush strokes - at least that's what I saw, full of so much inspiration. For my very first pet portrait, I very much enjoyed creating this work of art.
So folks, if you'd like to have rendered the likeness of a loved one or of yourself, etched with the finest oil materials on linen forever, do not be shy. I paint people at all stages in life, each age offering me its own unique challenge, each individual painted likewise a celebration in his/her own respect.
