I’ve been letting my thoughts wander about my reasons for joining Instagram. I’ll be honest, a friend of mine heard through the #tarotcommunity about a dreamwalker. It’s not everyday one announces themselves. I’m here for THAT person so any info the #witch or #tarot folk have is much appreciated.
Sharing is the other thing. I’ve got some stuff to share. I might not be an Instagram superstar in the witch circles on here but I know my shit and I stand by it. Plus that’s not why I’m giving it. It’s here for those that need it. But to get a little clarity on somethings -
• I’m not a witch that does rituals. Ritual work is not something that I practice. I don’t have an altar nor have I felt compelled to create one.
• The Gods/Goddesses are also something I’m not about. 😱 Yeah. Don’t misunderstand me, I know they are there, but they have their devoted, I’m just not one of them.
A little 101. Magic is something you DO not something you make. Magic requires a whole lot of doing. Magic that you do is also yours and yours alone. It listens to your words, your will, uses your strength and your energy. End of story. Where you direct it is where it will go. Magic is something (this is my belief) that you are born with even if it’s a teeny bit, that teeny bit can grow. It’s like a plant or a tree - nurture it, feed it, give it all you got and voila! you got something that is pumping like a well oiled machine.
This is also my view, magic has a particular form and function as do the people who hold it. Take light workers, they deal in the positive aspects of things, bringing light to those that need it and so on. Then there’s the Nightbound, those who deal in the negative aspects of magic and it’s nature. Even darkness needs to have people sit in it to keep an eye on its movements and then keep it in check.
Find out what your function is - observe how your magic works, listen to your intuition, get to know the mechanics of your power. CONNECT WITH YOURSELF AND YOUR MAGIC FIRST. Connecting with anything outside of these two things first will result in fear, frustration and self-doubt. YOU first, everything else later. As with anything, take what you need, leave the rest.
