Discover Havasupai Falls, Arizona, USA with @kevinboutwell.
Havasupai Falls in Arizona is a major destination for hikers who want to visit this blue green waterfall oasis. Getting to the falls is no cake walk, though. Hidden in the Grand Canyon, the hike to the falls is about 8 miles long - each way - and it is quite difficult to get reservations for, as it is a protected natural reserve. #thediscoverer
This was a moment when everything came together—planning, spontaneous response to a lack of planning, hours waiting, hours wandering, long drives, short sleeps, sketchy scrambles, heavy packs, and a willingness to just try something different. Those moments of fruition will always stay with me, but just as often I’ll remember the in-betweens: the song that came on during hour seven of an eleven hour drive, the fifteenth peanut butter tortilla wrap I ate on a 60 mile hike, shivering outside a closed visitor center watching snow fall and hoping the WiFi still works so I can reach out to someone special. Not every memory is glorious, and not every moment is captured on camera, but it’s all real, it’s all a part of the journey, it’s all worth remembering.
The sweet entrance @slaughtersmanor, where they couldn’t have been nicer about our lumpy macs (maps, oatie biscuits, etc) and caked boots. We had taken a walk that morning and come for sherries and lunch. To read more of the story in @voguemagazine, the link is in profile.
Dear Oregon, if you’ve taught me anything in the past 2 years, it’s that you can fall in love with a place. You are a gem. Your trees, your ocean, your crashing waves, your rocks, your sand, your gorge, your dirt, your mountain(s), your rain, your everything. It’s what led me to find the same love in another place 🇳🇴:), a place I will be calling home in 3 weeks (if they’ll have me.. 🙇🏻♀️). But if I’ve learned anything else in my 30 years on this planet, it’s that taking a chance on the people, places and things that you love, is always worth it. So for that, I thank you Oregon, and you will always be a home to me. Love, bets 💛 #doesntmeanimnotalittlenuts 🤪 :)
From my heart to yours. If you ever get the chance to dance with hundred loving souls on a bamboo platform in the mountains, overlooking volcanoes, lake and stars - do it. Another amazing and heart warming evening at #lakeatitlan and #eaglesretreats

Seeing the Aurora Borealis was probably the main reason we came up to Alaska, after missing them in Norway during the Summer. We were not disappointed. It has been on both of our lists for a long time that the overpriced flights to get there were so worth it! #bucketlist#northernlights#auroraborealis#fairbanks#alaska#scratch#spotthescope
We’ve all done things we aren’t proud of. Made decisions that we’ve immediately wished we could take back. Uttered words out loud that have instantly twisted our gut with a pang of discomfort and regret. We’ve all done things without thinking, or while only thinking of ourselves and no one else. We’ve all done things because they’ve felt good in the moment, ignoring what we know will be an unfortunate outcome.
Bottom line, we’ve all made mistakes. Sometimes we even repeat them. Sometimes not just once, but over and over again. And when that happens, it’s not difficult to start beating yourself up. To look at the wreckage that surrounds you, the one that you yourself have conjured up, and hate yourself for what you’ve caused.
Remember that you’ll most definitely make new mistakes. Because you’ll never truly be done with getting it wrong; no one will. Prepare yourself for those blips in your atmosphere. Be ready to let those things go once you’re done with them, once those mistakes have taught you the lessons you needed to be taught.
Learn and let go. Make right and then move on. Forgive and take a step forward.
Because you are so much more than your mistakes. 😊
We love this time of the year as the city puts on its fancy #christmas decorations.
Spotted this beautiful and unique ( it is adorned with 40 hand made camellias) Christmas tree in the lobby of the @fssydney#sydneylocal .
