DATE NIGHT DINING TIPS 🌹
Yes you can have fun and still not totally blow your diet 👌
One of the big things I hear all the time when it comes to dieting is that it’s SO DIFFICUlT to stay on track when you are out to dinner. I totally understand. Restaurants prepare food to taste good & don’t give much thought to its nutritional value.
Here are some tip to help when you are out on the town 👠
1️⃣Stay away from sauces or ask for the sauce on the side.
2️⃣If you must have a drink (which of course we all will) a clean vodka and club with a lime is the best choice. Stay away from high sugar beer 🍺 and wine 🍷 .
3️⃣You already know this but stay away from the bread. The food WILL arrive. I promise.
4️⃣Make sure you eat lunch or you will NOT listen to my advice on #3
5️⃣Fish is NOT always the best choice. I know it seems like it would be, but most restaurants cook fish with lots of oil and salt.
6️⃣Grilled anything works 👍At least you know what you are getting.
7️⃣Drink at least 16 oz of water when you get home. Restaurants use so much sodium that you will feel bloated the next day. Water will help flush your body.
8️⃣If you need something sweet ask for a cappuccino with brown sugar. It will crave your urge for that Chocolate 🍫 Lava Cake.
9️⃣If you REALLY want dessert that’s totally fine, but ask a friend to share or get berries and cream. 🔟 BEWARE of low-carb options. They don’t always mean low-cal. Restaurants use this terminology to make them seem healthier.
