It's the lifestyle we chose, it's the life decisions that lead us here, it's the sacrifices we made, it's the courage to chase exactly what we dreamt and forget about everything else - those are the factors that made this trip happen - do you have the courage to chase your dreams?!
I can do things you cannot, you can do things i cannot. Together we can do great things.

🌈 We wanted to take advantage of this post to THANK YOU ALL for supporting us every single day!! 🌈💜
It's ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE the number of nice messages we receive daily!! These messages are filled with good vibes, the best of wishes for us, people who tell us their dreams of traveling, who ask us questions and even who give us the BEST tips. We LOVE reading them!
So thank you SO much because you make us feel like we are not traveling alone! We are thankful to be fulfilling this dream and project we've had for a long time, and that so many of you have as well. We hope to be a motivation and inspiration for all of those who dream of traveling and still haven't been able to take this step. 🤗
We promise that the hardest part is to make the desition to do it!! After that, everything falls into its place naturally with will and dedication.
So we encourage you to always follow your dreams. It doesn't matter if it is traveling, being an entrepreneur (o starting your own business), working in this or that, whichever your dream is! Life is too short and we and we have to take full advantage of it! 🌈
Check out our new net installation! Practical and beautiful if we don't say so ourselves! More photos and installation details in our new blog post! Direct link in bio👆
To keep #aubrinsage safe as she becomes mobile we have installed a tight vertical net at the edge of the loft.
We chose this solution because it provides floor-to-ceiling safety while still allowing light, view, communication and ventilation into and out of the loft.
The Bustel is out of service this week currently at the transport department being tested, estimated value and then transferred into Costa Rican licensing. We love the Pura Vida lifestyle here so much, we would like to live and operate here for a longer period 😁🤘🏼
These are the moments we will one day share with future generations. ✍🏻
I have always been so enamored by story-telling. One of the last stories my grandmother told me was a comical one that really reveals the human spirit to survive. They had been married the previous year and both were attending college and money was...well, to say scarce would be an understatement. Their friends worked at a lumber mill which had lodging for the employees and they were able to sneak through a shared bathroom to sleep in an unoccupied room; as long as they left it looking untouched by morning. She and my grandfather apparently did this for an entire semester. Seeing as this was a lumber yard in the 1950’s, there was definitely question as to why a petite-framed soon to be school teacher was seen around the lodgings and at this point in the story, my grandmother paused for a moment, breaking the silence by stating “and then I was known as the lumber-yard whore..” 🙈
As funny as it is now, I’m sure she was quite embarrassed to have received such a title. I think about this story sometimes when I feel as though the idea of “home” is a little shakey. We can all have moment where we feel a little lost in the world, and perhaps, these moments are placed there to give ourselves proof that we are just as strong and tenacious as we believed we were when we were children. Just as courageous as we see our elders to be. We are all strong enough. You’ve got this. #homeiswhereyouparkit#busliving 🚍
Good Morning! Diesel is ready to go explore. He is such a water dog. As soon as we got near the coast it was all smiles. He smells the salty water and wants to go swimming so bad. We are happy to be back on the California coast.
Listening to a favorite podcast of mine today on the bus from Chiang Rai to the Myanmar border (Tim Ferris, for those curious) I was reminded by Walter Isaacson whom he was interviewing, of a favorite quote of mine from the last edition of the Whole Earth Catalog, a 70’s counter culture magazine. “Stay hungry, stay foolish” Isaacson was asked what many of the great people whom he’s written biography’s on have in common. His response was they all maintained a childlike curiosity and wonder for everything throughout their lives. When asked as a follow up how others might follow in their footsteps his answer was simple. Travel. 🚎🌬🇹🇭🇲🇲
