- 君が好きだと叫びたい (#SlamDunk opening theme song ‘kimi ga suki da to sakebitai’/I want to shout “I love you” chorus).
So...❤️🙈❤️this is something I set aside in my adult life and almost entirely forgotten till I began planning my ‘must see’ places for this trip. Somehow, my curiosity about the existence of the real ‘#Shohoku’ peaked and I began my research. True to reputation, Shohoku is inspired by a stunning #sea side town #Kamakura. Just look at the remarkable resemblance!😍 Needless to say, I had to go ❤️🙈❤️ I HAD TO GOOOOOOO!!! Hahaha...
My original plan was to come by at dusk, hoping for a beautiful sunset capture of the old electric railway riding off into the sunset by the sea...
But as with every adventure with the Lord, days end up a little different (but always better) than my plans. So I left for #KamakuraKokomae station several hours earlier than planned, a day later than I’d hoped. Only when I got there did I realise just how much more perfect this was!
Picturesque blue skies, a gentle ocean breeze, majestic waves and the sun shining bright; it looked almost identical to the opening theme song scene!😱As a matter of fact, the theme song plays just before the train arrives!😱😱😱
I’m pretty sure I was skipping my way through these streets... it isn’t just glorious beachside living, this town (or the animated version) was my dreamworld. Lol, you know you’re an addict when you live in your mind, and going to school is just what you have to do to get back here asap. I immersed in this world so much I wrote a 76,500 word fanfic about it, cohabited with SD merchandise (including a life size #Rukawa poster)❤️🙈❤️#sorrynotsorry
The spirit of the story still captivates me. Plus, who didn’t love Sakuragi’s endless antics and tensai abilities?😂God, why did I abandon these hopes? So #thankful for this gift❤️This has been a journey to my heart as much as one of the most beautiful countries in the world!
