Better to cultivate discipline than to rely on motivation. Force yourself to do things. Force yourself to get out of bed and practice. Force yourself to work. Motivation is fleeting and it’s easy to rely on because it requires no concentrated effort to get. Discipline is reliable. The question isn’t how to keep yourself motivated, it’s how to train yourself to work without it.

I’ve been waiting for this day for 2 weeks. Yes I may obsess a bit much but I hate not accomplishing something. Even if it is by the advice of my coach. But I listened and took a week off. • All I wanted was to do my 80% at AMAP. I know my %80 isn’t my true % anymore becasue my strength as increased since my PR months ago, but still! Tonight I set a goal and I smashed it. • So keep doubting me! I don’t want to be like the rest, I’m glad I’m 34 and new. That means no one knows who I am and that’s a scary thing. I have goals and I will be around for a very long time. •
