I came into work early in order to flatten this live-edge walnut slab that I am turning into a coffee table. I’m very happy with how well this simple sled has worked out. I had a bit of a droop in the middle of the sled, so I will need to correct that somehow, if you have any ideas or comments feel free to share them!
Hey don't forget I have a sale on the few pieces in my online store. Link is in bio, use "S&GInstagram2017" for a 15% discount. Orders will ship in time for Christmas! I also have two benches, two haul tables and a coffee table available that are not on my website. I will discount those as well, though they will probably need to be picked (17847) up or delivered. Or at least a custom shipping quote. Email me email@example.com if you'd like some pictures and pricing on what I have available. Who wouldn't want a nice piece of live edge furniture for the holidays?!
Rather lovely American #Walnut plugs in the English #Oak stretchers on the underside of Mike & Michelle's French Walnut table - what an international table!

Hope everyone had a great #slaburday! I can hardly wait to get the slabs from this pecan tree dried out. A solar kiln is on the list of things to build, so we can speed up the dry, and finally see the beauty that was hiding in this log.
Well there it is...12' of Parota courtesy of the guys over at @exotichardwoods This slab is slated for a custom dining table in the outdoor living space of my clients new home. This is going to be a fun build trying to maneuver this beast around the shop.
We’re making it happen over here with this beautiful walnut slab. Can’t wait to bring you all final pictures next week. In the meantime, enjoy your Saturday! -
