Hey there guys ✌🏽 I’ve come to realise, I’m pretty obsessed with gingerbread spice. I think I’m putting it into about 2/3 of everything I eat at the moment 🤔, but I’m ok with that! .
I made this chocolate and gingerbread slice with almond butter frosting yesterday, following a trip to @thesourceberwick (which just opened a month ago 🙌🏼- check out my stories to see the cool waste free produce bags I bought), and it’s my entry into my sweet friend- @elavegan and @fitness_bianca - #🍫party . Here is the recipe x
Chocolate and gingerbread slice with almond butter frosting
1 cup pecans
1 cup walnuts
1 ½ cups Medjool dates, pitted
½ tsp. Himalayan sea salt
2/3 cup raw cacao powder
½ cup coconut flour
¼ cup rice malt syrup
2 tsp ground ginger
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp all spice
1/8 tsp ground nutmeg
¼ cup roasted almond butter
¼ cup cashews, soaked for 4 hours then drained and rinsed
¼ cup coconut cream (full fat)
2 Tbsp coconut oil, melted
¼ cup rice malt syrup
For the brownie-
Add nuts, coconut flour, cacao, spices and salt to a high-speed food processor. Blend until a rough flour has formed.
Add remaining ingredients and blend until a sticky ball of dough forms. Press the mixture into a prepared tin (we use a 15cm square tin, lined with baking paper). For the frosting-
Melt the coconut oil & set aside to cool
Combine all your frosting ingredients in a high-speed blender (excluding the coconut oil) & blend until well combined
Add the melted coconut oil & blend again. Pour the mixture over your brownie & then transfer to the freezer to set
To serve; remove from freezer and allow to defrost for 5 minutes. Remove from tin, then cut into 10 bars. Decorate with melted chocolate, pecans and chia seeds.
STORE in the fridge for up to 1 week, or in the freezer for 2-3 weeks (in a sealed container)

5 medium frozen bananas, chopped
1/2 cup almond milk
1 tsp @powersuperfoods maqui powder
1/4 cup buckwheat grouts, soaked 15 minutes then drained
1 Tbsp fresh lime juice
1 tsp @powersuperfoods maca powder
2 tsp @powersuperfoods chia seeds
1. Add all ingredients to a high-speed blender. Blend on high until very smooth, then device between two bowls.
2. Decorate with fresh fruits, berries and @powersuperfoods cacao nibs or cacao crunch
Nutella or peanut butter? What’s your jam? We were never allowed Nutella as kids, and I was always so envious of anyone who had it. Hazelnut and chocolate is, as I’m sure you know, a match made in heaven, and something every kid (and human) should get to enjoy, but I’m right with my folks now- Nutella is not something I’ll ever have in my household, either. So, i present to you, this superfood enriched choc vegan Nutella made using @ceresorganics goodies! Typing up the recipe now 🙊
2 cups activated hazelnuts
1 1/4 cups fresh coconut 🥥 milk
2 Tbsp @ceresorganics carob powder
1/4 cup @ceresorganics cacao powder
1 Tbsp @ceresorganics maca toot powder
1 Tbsp mesquite powder
1/4 cup + 1 Tbsp @ceresorganics ricemalt syrup
1 tsp @ceresorganics pure vanilla extract
1. If you don’t have activated hazelnuts, roast them in the over at 180 degrees for 10 mins. Remove from heat and allow to cool for 10 mins. Place hazelnuts in a clean tea towel, and roll nuts around to remove skins. Be thorough (use your fingers for tough skins), as the skins will add a bitter flavour if not removed.
2. Add the de-skinned hazelnuts to a high-speed blender, along with the remaining ingredients. Blend on high for 2 minutes, using your tamper to help the process. Scrap down the sides of the blender if necessary. Once the mix is very smooth, transfer into clean glass jars and store in the fridge. Will keep for weeks.
Enjoy on toast, banana bread, with fruits, on porridge, pancakes or anything else you desire. #panaceaspantry#aveganchristmas

The thing I love about bodybuilding is when you begin to fine tune the process you realize what’s going on internally is critical. Isn’t that how it is in all things of life? People can go through the motions a lot in life and it will only get them so far. If you don’t internalize the process and work from the inside out it will only work so much.
When lifting it may look on the outside that I’m just moving my arm, or the weight, from point a to point B but there are actually a lot of focuses happening on the inside, in my mind and muscles, that can’t really be captured in a video. My goal is to help girls improve through a greater connection with the muscle they are trying to work.
The first year of lifting you will have results. They are referred to as easy gains. Your muscles are being stimulated for the first time. They are thrilled and they grow. But you will hit what I call ‘your genetic base’ and if you don’t know nutrition and how to fine tune the process of lifting it will be extremely hard to push past that. This is when what happens internally becomes critical. Going through the motions is no longer enough for your muscles to grow. If I had known all this when I first started I would be further along in my process, so I’m so excited to teach girls from the beginning how to do this! My project won’t be done for awhile, I’m putting together an entire database of exercises and workout plans all with extremely detailed instructions on how to execute differently, and how to build that connection with your muscles for maximum results. It will also have nutrition and anatomy lessons. So so excited. I am a teacher at heart, so to put my love for teaching AND lifting together is something I’m so passionate and super excited about! I’ve officially finished shopping for 5 people + now 4 people to go! I just walked around Target for approximately 2 hours 🤦🏼♀️ The only thing that helped me was shopping around with a medium roast, steamed almond milk, and sugar free cinnamon dolce coffee!
