Thanks to social media, the phrase “Real women support other women” has become very popular.
I am a huge fan of this movement and I hope it has come to stay.
However, can we project this onto the generality of people and say “Normal” people support others, their gender, tribe/race, language or any other division notwithstanding?
Allow me therefore to introduce (if you are unfamiliar of course) to you the ECOSYSTEM.
An ecosystem, a borrowed term from the life sciences, is primarily built by a network of people helping (see sharing, investing and supporting) each other.
As a nation, to rise from our economic misery and backwardness is to create a system where ideas don’t fail due to shortage of funds, inexperience or insufficient support.
I encourage you to therefore share your process, your platform, your struggles and your mistakes.
Share! Share!! Share!!! Don’t share to impress or intimidate, do so for the ecosystem.
You feel you don’t have anything to share?
Invest your time, money, constructive advice and/or energy.
Support the people in your community, no matter how little.
Do it for God and humanity.
A stunning example of this is the “House of Tara”. Her message and actions of empowerment in conjunction with her business has given thousands of people a means of livelihood.
If God and humanity doesn’t appeal to you, let me by all means appeal to the selfish ego in you.
When other people in your ecosystem grow, you are likely to get more value for your goods and services.
Also, it is a good way to ensure a legacy that transcends you.
