🍫 The milk chocolate bar has a whooping 44g carbs, 41g sugar only 2g fiber and 370 calories! The dark chocolate bar shown on the other hand had 13g carbs, 6g sugar, 5g fiber & 250 calories. With dark chocolate, you’ll feel fuller faster with the add fiber & won’t go through such a big insulin spike & crash.
🌽 Vegetable oil and canola oils are highly processed, heated, bleached, refined and deodorized. The hight heat these oils go through have negative impact on the healthy compounds in the oils & are stripped of much of their omega-3 fatty acids in the processing. Extra Virgin Olive oil is produced by cold pressing and doesn’t use chemicals for refinement & also avoids high heat treatment, leaving it full of heart healthy fats.
🥑 Sour cream adds about 40 calories & 6g of fat per quarter cup but doesn’t add much nutritionally. Guacamole on the other hand adds antioxidants, about 4g of fiber, potassium + more per quarter cup. Plus, you get all the heart healthy fats from the avocado.

Yesterday I had a moment, a moment of self pity and frustration. You know those months where it feels like it’s one thing after another and you think to yourself, can I just catch a break!? That was me for about an hour until snapped back into it.
It’s more than OKAY to FEEL your FEELINGS, even if they aren’t full of rainbows and sunshine but what’s NOT okay is if you STAY there. Allow yourself that brief moment and then move on!! Instead of WHY ME, say TRY ME!! Even in the most trying times there’s nothing that can’t be changed or overcome. You also have to take a moment to be THANKFUL for all the amazing things in your life, for me it’s the PEOPLE. I’ve been blessed with so many amazing friends and family who are ALWAYS willing to do what they can to HELP!

I’m so bored, such a slow day at the office. Everyone is working from home...but me 🙋🏼♀️ idk why I do this to myself haha. And when I’m bored all I want to do is EAT! Luckily, I was prepared with healthy snacks. Not caving for the holiday goodies in the kitchen. EXACTLY why meal prepping and planning ahead is so important. Progress doesn’t just show up. Gotta stay on track & work for it! DAY 2/14! 💪🏼
There are many reasons why I love fitness shows. It is so inspiring!!! Everyone worked so hard to reach their goals. Different levels, different stories of why they are doing it. This is my current physique right now. 4 lbs over my stage weight. My training styles have changed a lot. Way higher volume!! My quads are a little heavier than I want them but it will soon change! Pre-prepped smoothies make my world go round 🤪🌎 Obviously, I get my best beauty sleep in the last 5 minutes before the alarm goes off. I make it a point to never press snooze, but I always lay in bed for a few minutes to give myself a chance to wake up (also, I turn the remote controlled space heater on and give it time to warm up my room because I’m not about that frozen life ☃️) Knowing I have breakfast waiting for me in the fridge makes everything else so stress free! It’s amazing what a big impact having an easy flow morning can have on the rest of your day.
My smoothies are always Vega All-in-one, unsweetened almond milk and frozen banana based and then I’ll throw in whatever I’m feeling that week. This week I had leftover homemade cranberry sauce (from my cranbrie post 😋) so I blended that with some frozen raspberries and strawberries 🍓
