Every seller desires to avoid negotiations once under contract. Unfortunately, many buyers in today’s market have learned that last minute price negotiations can work greatly to their advantage, leading to a lower selling price and loss of profit for you as a seller.
One way to help wade off such negotiations is to have a property inspection before listing. By having an inspection report readily available to your buyers, they can then make their best offer up front, knowing what they are getting.
If you have an inspection report, you can also include an “as-is” clause in the contract, which sends a message to buyers that negotiations are not an option.
