My mock exam felt kinda like a car crash today🙃 I don’t know if it’s my anxiety making me feel like I’ve failed or what but I wouldn’t say it went well...
WHATEVER! It’s just a mock and I should LEARN from it. Ok yes it’s made me feel pretty rubbish but it doesn’t define me as a person and it’s not the real thing. I have time to improve myself!
It’s timing I struggle with. I can write for DAYS- pages and pages- but it takes me a while. I can’t get everything down in that wee 1 hour we are given.
Writing should be like enjoying porridge: take your time, eat each bite and revel in the tastes. The longer and slower you cook it, the more creamy and delicious it is.
If only AQA would eat more oats and understand.....
Anyway, these oats are what I ate as part of dinner to comfort and cheer me up. Warming and hearty fruit and nut by @porridgepotmagic . Really creamy, sweetly spiced oats and crunchy nuts with almond milk.
I have more exams tomorrow so I need a good night’s sleep to make sure I am well rested and alert tomorrow! Have a nice night x

I think I've given up now, trying to get a good picture at this time in the morning 😂 saving recipe development for weekends or days when I get up after 7.30am 🙈 so anyway! For breakfast this morning I've made oat, barley and rye porridge topped with butter fried pear in fennel and maple syrup, @thecollectiveuk yoghurt mixed with @linwoodshealthfoods ground flax, toasted hazelnuts and freeze dried blackberries 👌🏻
