Anxiety is an extreme form of nervousness. It can manifest from irrational thoughts and beliefs about certain situations which come from overthinking. 🗯 Anxiety interferes with every day 'normal' life, leaving people exhausted, and some people unable to leave their house, talk to their loved ones, or make sense of the world around them. 😶 Anxiety can also lead to other mental health disorders such as depression, OCD and other compulsive disorders. 👎🏼
Anxiety is much more physical than nervousness in that it can cause an irregular heartbeat, headaches, diarrhoea (thank god for spell check), muscle tension and insomnia - just a few examples - these can even occur when there is no stressful schema present. 😪 Also, the irrationality of anxiety can cause erratic mood swings, irritability and memory loss, which in the bigger scheme of things can lead to a break down in familial, friendly, and romantic relationships! 💔
The word anxiety seems to be thrown around far too often these days, just as people say 'I feel depressed' or 'she looks anorexic'. 🙅🏼 It's important to remember that like depression and anorexia, anxiety is an actual disorder, whereas nervousness is a normal every day feeling - although they are both unpleasant to experience, they are NOT to be confused! 😽 .

Ran an extreme temperature last night. Felt like my brain was boiling and don't remember most of the night. Geez these fevers are getting worse. Oh well. I survived and back to normal, save for that feeling like my skull is too tight and my brain is a used chunk of firewood. Other than that I'll be fine. Couple of aspirin, bottle of water and keep going. Nothing can stop those who are focused. Pain, and struggle are only momentarily there as an adversary. You will face them a lot, But never as a permanent situation. So get up, get moving and kill the day already. I feel like a freshly extinguished dumpster fire, but i know i am going to give the day hell and make it my own. Up and at them. You've got this. #PMA#PositiveMentalAttitude#ICameInLikeASharknado
