The little focus on driving the knee forwards on the way back up to the start position is really effective to help you engage your glutes on the standing leg...
How does that work...?
The crossed extensor reflex is the mechanism we're tapping into with this "knee drive" cue. As you drive the knee forwards on the swinging leg, this reflex triggers the hip extensors (think glutes and hamstrings) to contract more effectively on the standing leg!
Give it a go 😃 Aim for 3 sets of 15 on each leg.

So THIS happened! Hubby came in 2nd overall in the 42nd @marinecorpsmarathon and I couldn’t be more proud! He won’t toot his own horn so I will! This man puts in so many hours, a lot of them very early in the morning! He has worked hard for so many years and is so deserving! Congrats baby! Soak in every moment! Though I know by tomorrow you’ll already be thinking about the next one! So proud of you and the amazing example you set everyday for Easton! ❤️❤️
When is the last time you tried to turn your mind off for 60 minutes? 😌 Had a nice relaxing float @truerestdetroit this morning for my birthday and it was beyond amazing! Over 1000lbs of epsom salt and total mind body connection- my body feels refreshed and ready to take on the next week! 💆
Trust the process, they said. Be patient, they said😇 I’ve heard this SOOO many times and I’ve never actually felt what it meant until I began making progress from injury. I suffered a stress reaction/fracture this summer in my femur (thigh bone, the largest bone in the body NBD) that put me out for 2 months. Going on week 6 of my return to running, and finallyyy got that little be fearless mentality back!!💯😘

3 min 55 sec marathon PR!!!🙌🏼🎉I went into today’s marathon with no time goal or pace goal. Just wanted to enjoy a race with friends and run a smart race with my heart!💗 And that’s exactly what happened🏃🏼♀️I smiled the entire time and I DIDN’T BONK!!😄👊🏼 LESS THAN 10 MINUTES TO SHAVE OFF UNTIL I QUALIFY FOR THE BOSTON MARATHON AHHHH😜💙💛🦄
