This little smart device is something i have been using daily now its called the relaxator . What it does, is that it makes your exhales longer by providing resistance. The exhales is important for stimulation of the vegas nerve and activation of the parasymphatetic nervous system. I use it daily while driving on my way to school . Usualy i also do a session of box breathing after, and  i have noticed that after using the relaxator i can increase the timing of the breaths much faster than usual . The benefits i have noticed from this is higher productivity and better mood through out the day , im also using this before bed to raise hrv

A verrry late breakfast post staying in bed until 10 am (after staying up way past my bedtime to dance my ass off with a bunch of strangers at someone else’s company holiday party) 🙌🏽. This time last year the mere thought of even being out at a social event like this would have been too much, but add the prospect of drinking two glasses of wine, eating a bit of the catered food and being up late and it would have sent me into a full-blown panic attack. Proud of the progress I’ve made (and am continuing to make) in getting to be a better, less stressed out, healthier and more balanced version of my old self ✨

Many people tell me that their genetics determine their health. Family members have a particular disease and it is something that is inevitable in their own health journey. 
Yes genetics plays a huge role in our health; however with more coming to light in regards to epigenetics, there is more involved than what we thought was the inevitable. 
Epigenetics is the mechanism that affects genes/proteins from being turned on (expressed) and off. These mechanisms do not affect the genetic code themselves. 
So what does this mean?
You can have the genetic code for a particular disease, however the genes/proteins will be turned on at one point, which is why we are not born with every disease we acquire during our lifetime. Viruses, nutrient deficiencies and inflammation are all factors that can alter genes and proteins. 
How can we actively impact our epigenetics?
- learn to monitor our stress levels and undertake stress management and mindfulness techniques daily
- reduce toxin exposure - reduce exposure to chemicals, pesticides, herbicides
- exercise daily - support your body to be in its optimal condition
- support your health with optimal nutrition

We were poor all of the early years of our marriage and we scavenged limbs cut from bottoms of other people's Christmas trees for ours. And our son Jonathan's birthday is December 14, so he said we couldn't use the word Christmas till December 15th. We Need to De-stress for Better Digestion > Step into your ideal metabolic state when you eat. You need to be in a parasympathetic, relaxed state to digest your food properly. This is called “rest and digest” mode in your nervous system. The opposite is a sympathetic state, when you are stressed out and your body is in “fight or flight” mode. Take 5-10 long slow deep breaths before you pick up your fork. This will quickly and easily generate the physiological relaxation response. Eat slowly and chew your food completely. Drink liquid up to a ½ hour before your meal or an hour afterward. Relaxing Breath (also called 4-7-8 breathing) is done by inhaling through the nose for 4 seconds, holding for 7, and exhaling through the mouth (preferably with a whooshing sound) for 8. Repeat four times for a more peaceful and relaxed you. Watch the video in my stories if you need more of an explanation. .
This exercise can be done anytime, anywhere and is great at keeping us calm and helping us live in the moment.

Day 36. Woah how life has changed in 36 days. I own my own business, I do push-ups on my toes, I’m a more confident cooker of the tofu, a more confident chef in general. My eyes have been opened to the world of women who are looking for change. Not just in the realm of fitness. In the realm of LIFE changes. My Mom is on this journey with me, she is on fire, we are closer than ever. Have I mentioned she is reversing her #type2 ... ?
36 days ago I never would have been confident enough to post this. I’ve never been comfortable with the concept of posting even a selfie of my face. But, this journey is NOT about the condition of the outward facing body, it’s about the inward facing woman with a soul that lives, thinks, prays & thrives inside. 36 days ago I did not have a way to channel my passion for health. Health of the human body is my bleeding heart. The fact of the matter is: oxidization happens inside of our bodies every day making us susceptible to disease. If we don’t fight it with diet & exercise, over time, serious illness manifests. Diabetes? Yup. Cancer? Yup. I’m not saying these conditions are 100% avoidable, but they are indeed preventable. With proper intake of nutrients, reasonable exercise, stress management & sleep - disease IS preventable & reversible. It’s also never too late to start. I wish I started this coaching journey years ago. I have been given the tools & resources to put into motion all of the things I wanted for myself & they have materialized for real. I’m so friggen #zen about it. But, 36 days ago I was ignorant to just HOW much my body would reward me with these small tweaks to my lifestyle. Hormones have balanced out, my skin is clearer, my life’s path is clearer. I am truly #thankful beyond words to this miracle of creation that is my body! I am also thankful to all of YOU. Talking to you about your goals, where you want to move, what career moves you want to make in 2018... it gives me LIFE! Yes we have a new booty/abs program comin out. I’m super stoked to see how my body responds. But, it’s about so much more than booty & abs! It’s about LIFE. Thank you for your friendship & support ❤️🙏🏼
