Lately I've been having some backpain again and I asked my friend @coachumitdolen to asses me, since he is a physiotherapist(check his page, he's awesome👌) With his help I made a new training plan for myself, avoiding exercises that cause me back pain and doing more of those that will help eliminate it. I mostly have to work on my spine mobility, hip flexor mobility, core stability (without any compression) and my backbending. So basically stuff that I'm bad at and have been avoiding. I'll hate it for some time cause I won't be able to work on stuff I love - for example pikepress. And also because like I said, I gotta work on stuff that I'm bad at. But, starting is the hardest part and I know that once I see progress in these things I will get addicted to it😊 glad that I can still work on my hspu, archer chinups, levers, handstand line and so on. Also @andyunderdogs has to give me some painful as fuck massage and stretches every day😅😁 sooo, let the grind begin. I'll keep you updated✌

First this was a lot harder than it looked mostly because I've done thrusters variances the past two days so legs are iffy. Second and probably the most crucial thing was I did a poor job keeping the breath calm hence the way I sound in clip. Anyways here a small piece of the 4th round  of today's WoD.

Day was made by stumbling across the beautiful Hanu Pilates. While we’re making this vacation in Portland a bit of a fitness week, it’s the session I had this morning with @careymacnaughton that I’ll take the most away from. Reminded of how universal the Classical method is, where you’re feeling right at home even in a brand new environment. Taking away new ideas/improvements for my own practice. Always a student and so happy to find new mentors to learn from!

Here's a quick workout video! I start off every workout with 10+ minutes on the treadmill; I feel like that's my equivalent in importance to people drinking coffee in the AM before talking to people 😂 Before my treadmill warmup, I am not a happy camper! I usually sit in the sauna for 10ish minutes as well, especially now that it's so cold outside, I emphasize warming up my bones and muscles before actually doing anything intense. In this video I did some box jump leg ups, benched shoulder presses, leg curls, and hip abductions. A little bit of everything ;) When I'm not doing squats or pulls, I like to try out different machines and exercises and then this happens..you have to keep your mind entertained somehow! 
I love doing the box jump leg ups because it strengthens your thighs while testing your balance at the same time. I find this exercise really fun as well, especially when I add weight to it. 
I realized after watching this that the benched exercise makes my arms look super long and super skinny, but I'm working on bulking up. I love this exercise too because it makes my shoulders super toned and super strong 💪
The leg curl machine is actually one of my least favorite. I don't know why..maybe we just got off on the wrong foot and will fall in love later ;) Aaand finally, I find the hip abductor machine really helpful because it strengthens the right area I need to be solid for my squats. Plus, it's easy-peasy compared to everything else I did that day!
