It's the lifestyle we chose, it's the life decisions that lead us here, it's the sacrifices we made, it's the courage to chase exactly what we dreamt and forget about everything else - those are the factors that made this trip happen - do you have the courage to chase your dreams?!
This is our house. A fine house it is, too.
Up in that pop top is our bedroom--a twin-sized foam mattress covered in flannel sheets and wool blankets. Two windows on the sides, so we can peer out like moles and remember how tiny we are.
The ground floor is our studio/living room/kitchen. A mess, always. Ours, forever.
And outside is our true home, the wildish places such as these, where red tailed hawks laugh at us overhead, where the solitude is such that ponderosa trees speak to us in muffled voices of the past, where nothing is to stop us but the very clouds themselves, up there at 12,000 feet, above the snowy, all-seeing ridges.
Headed back up to NH on Black Friday for another crack at this black thing. Anyone want to get out for some Yankee ice with me? Planning to be up there through the end of December or maybe a bit longer. #vanlife#iceclimbing
