Wouldn’t it be cool if we could develop new communities without clear cutting? Imagine homes ever so slightly spread out, a tall healthy tree in your backyard, a gentle winding road, and bird song not so far away. What you see here used to be forest, field, and walking paths. We were sad to lose it at all, but the worst part was definitely how barren it looked when they flattened the last of it, knowing how many animals must have lost their homes or were even killed in the process. Maybe they could have left even just a little of it? Happy to have our neighbourhood expand, but part of us wonders if there is ANY other way to do this. (In case you’re wondering it IS possible, do your research)
We used to play and walk the dog here 😢
Happy Hollandaise to you and your family

What is your definition of gifted? Is it someone who has high potential? ⠀
Perhaps a high IQ average? ⠀
A child can have high potiental in a specific area, however, whether or not that potential is expressed depends on the environment in which the child is in. A child’s potential may never be expressed as a talent and remain hidden within. For example, if Mozart was born into a family that never played music, would he still be a brilliant composer? ⠀
There are more people in this world with high potential than talent. Their potential will not manifest into a talent. High potential needs commitment, strong motivation, enthusiasm, creativity, self-confidence, perservenace, the list goes on... ⠀
High potential is a gift, it needs to be identified then sustained. If enough time is put into it, eventually it becomes a talent. You DON’T need to label yourself! Establish your strengths and weaknesses, get to know yourself and your OWN potential! ⠀
Side Note: An individual’s performance is not always an accurate representation of their actual natural abilities.
We all know that in order to lose weight you must be in a calorie deficit.
I also encourage and preach that you get your calories from whole foods rather than junk food.
On the left is junk food. If that was all you had to eat in a day to reach 1600 calories would you be full? Would you be satisfied for the entire day?
On the right is 1600 calories of whole food. Would that fill you up for the day? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Junk food in general is not very filling. You're left feeling empty. It is also very calorie dense, so you can see how eating too much junk food can EASILY spike your calories above what you need.
However the key is in moderation.
Little look into this weeks in season programming... Goals:

Tonight with our minor midget AAA guys we focused on some posterior chain GPP - banded hamstring flexion 5reps x5-10 sec hold, reverse hypers 5-10 reps and a Jefferson back extension. This was All after a 10-15 min warm up. We then performed Concentric Deadlifts we built up to 75-80% and performed 3x3 we super set that with #NordicCurls in partners (3-5 down). We then performed DB floor press with neutral grip and DB rows 3x6-10.
Set three was a light rack lunge with the purpose of hip extension and flexion as well as created some through the ankle.. it was light and pattern focused. We paired this with pull aparts and a short lever plank with some hip abduction.
