Do you ever wonder why you are here? Do we have a purpose for just being? Just the idea of life is so complex because we are put on earth for a specific amount of time to live our lives and then we just go away. I hope to think that we were meant to be here for a specific reason but who really knows. I hope that what I choose to do with my life will make a difference in this world. It doesn’t have to completely change it, but I want it to do some good. The idea of it all is so strange because we are told to save up our money for something bigger and better but when is that something bigger and better going to come? We also worry about what jobs will give us the most money rather than what jobs will give us the most happiness. This is the harsh reality we have made for ourselves. I will try to keep reminding myself that we do not die and take money with us, but we do take the memories that we make here on earth.
Homelessness is a huge problem in America but the biggest problem is the way people see perceive it to be. Many associate the homeless as drug addicts. Many also say that they are there because they put themselves there. And I can’t say that every homeless person hasn’t done these things but to merely just categorize this whole group into one specific stereotype is just wrong. I can’t speak on the behalf of every person who is homeless but I can say this: it is hard to avoid losing everything. I have seen someone go through this. it can happen so easily to anyone at anytime. I just think people need to be more mindful of others because it’s such a tough situation. Life isn’t easy and shit happens left and right. People need to put themselves in other people’s shoes and see past this stereotype they have created.
